I would like to welcome you to the first edition of Láser Ocular Barcelona, which will be held in Barcelona on 7 and 8 November 2025, in collaboration with the Spanish Society of Medical Surgical Lasers, the Italian Society of Ophthalmologic and Ophthalmoplastic Innovation and the Pan-American Society of Ophthalmology.
We are living in a new technological era in ophthalmology, with advances in innovative techniques, revolutionary laser platforms, advanced diagnostic equipment and the incorporation of artificial intelligence into decision-making and therapeutic protocols.
While femtosecond laser has significantly improved refractive and cataract procedures, there are now many new technological developments in protocols, diagnostics and laser equipment.
Undoubtedly, we are moving towards new automated and computer-controlled emerging technologies with artificial intelligence algorithms. These systems will provide us with procedures that are easier to perform, faster, with all clinical parameters integrated and, above all, safer and more effective.
On Friday 7 November, Laser Ocular Barcelona ’25 will see the leading experts in refractive and presbyopia lasers, cataract, glaucoma, retina, macula, cosmetic iridoplasty and keratopigmentation present their most innovative protocols and results. The following day, on Saturday 8 November, they will present the latest technological advances in oculo-facial aesthetics in the areas of phototherapy, physical therapies and new laser platforms. Finally, we will have a round table of experts on artificial intelligence applied to ophthalmology.
We also look forward to welcoming you to the LOB’25 Official Dinner, which will be held on Friday 7 November in the majestic setting of Montjuic.
