At Eyecos<\/strong>, we take pride in our journey since 2012, leading the way in eye color change<\/strong> with safe and effective technology in the sector. To ensure the suitability of our treatments, we conduct thorough pre-checks, including psychological evaluations, to rule out any possible contraindications. In July 2023, we conducted a psychological study that yielded significant results, and in February 2024, we conducted a follow-up to validate these data.<\/p>\n

Our sample<\/strong>, consisting of patients aged 18 to 72<\/strong>, with an average age of 37, showed an increase in the upper age group, raising the average age by one point from the previous study.<\/p>\n

When compared to the previous study, we observed that the majority of patients showed no signs of psychological issues<\/strong>, which is encouraging and consistent with previous findings.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We maintain diagnostic<\/strong> categories such as “Anxiety-Stress-Depression,” “Body Dysmorphic Disorder,” “Normal,” and “Obsessive-Paranoid.” Predominantly, patients exhibited a “normal” psychological state, followed by “Obsessive-Paranoid” and “Body Dysmorphic Disorder,” with a decrease in the number of the latter.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Regarding motivations<\/strong> for treatment, the majority sought aesthetic changes, although a smaller number also considered health reasons.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The history of previous surgeries<\/strong> revealed an increase in patients with no prior experience, with a trend towards fewer surgeries performed. We observed a possible correlation with the body dysmorphic profile in cases of multiple interventions.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In the analyzed sample, a wide range of behaviors related to cosmetic treatments<\/strong> was observed. Most clinic patients did not undergo any treatment except for eye color change, which may indicate that the study group does not show a high propensity for such procedures. However, the number of individuals who had undergone one or two previous treatments increased.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Regarding the use of cosmetic medications<\/strong>, the majority did not use them, with very few patients mentioning regular use. Although a case of excessive consumption was recorded, it was uncommon, suggesting that patients typically do not resort to this type of medication.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The majority of patients did not report experiencing significant psychological crises<\/strong>, although a small number mentioned having had one or two crises, with no clear correlation established with cosmetic treatments.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Regarding psychological treatments<\/strong>, most patients continued to receive none, although it was noted that some patients diagnosed with “Anxiety-Stress-Depression” were undergoing pharmacological treatment. Additionally, it was observed that patients diagnosed as “normal” were the ones consuming this type of medication the most.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It is important to mention that only a small number of patients had family histories<\/strong> of mental disorders, suggesting that most participants come from families without such a history.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In conclusion, the results of our psychological studies and data analysis support a safe and effective<\/strong> protocol at Eyecos to initiate a permanent eye color<\/strong> change. Most of our patients show a favorable psychological disposition<\/strong> and a low incidence of mental health problems<\/strong> associated with the procedures. Additionally, we observe a trend towards a reduction in diagnoses of body dysmorphic disorder, while the proportion of patients with a “normal” psychological state increases. These findings suggest that our procedures not only satisfy our patients aesthetically but may also have a positive impact on their psychological well-being. <\/strong><\/p>\n

It is essential to continue monitoring and adapting our protocols to ensure the mental and emotional health of our clients at all times. Patients demonstrate a thoughtful attitude<\/strong> in seeking a solid knowledge base before making decisions related to their treatment, which is fundamental to us at Eyecos.<\/p>\n
